More and more Wellness Centres and Retreats are looking beyond beauty and are increasingly focussing on the combination of Wellness and Health. I’m very happy about this development as I see myself as a Professional Wellness Practitioner focussing on the area where wellness & health go hand-in-hand. People are increasingly aware of the importance of wellness to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. The increased focus on nature in Wellness Retreats & Programs is another very positive development and something I’ve been embracing already for a long time. This is probably the reason why I love to work in remote locations with retreat teams and guests that see the value of such a setting.

 

I am a professional Wellness Practitioner, Master Massage Therapist, Trainer and Spa Manager with almost 25 years of experience, having lived and worked at renowned Wellness Centres in Asia and Africa. My passion for and dedication to massage therapy originated in the East, where I was trained and educated from the best teachers in their respective fields. The wellness treatments are holistic, intuitive and tailor-made to harmonize, reset and energize the body and to improve mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

 

I am well-versed in a wide range of treatment modalities. My experience and expertise have enabled me to personalize treatments, whether stand-alone, combination of therapies or design of wellness programs for multi-day retreats (focussed on themes like energy, anti-stress, reset or detox).

 

Apart from delivering wellness & massage treatments, I’ve also combined this with spa management, set-up of spa’s in Africa, and training roles in both Africa & Asia. Furthermore, I have established and am the co-founder of a Wellness Training Academy in Namibia which assists high-end Retreat Hotels & Lodges with the set up of Spa facilities and training of resident massage therapists in various massage modalities.
